Here, in the Bahamas, the Bahamian dollar is on par with the U.S. dollar. Exchanges through financial institutions often have a small exchange fee.
Cash / Credit Cards
U.S. bills and coins are accepted everywhere, as if it were Bahamian currency. Credit cards are widely accepted, although a minimum purchase may be required.
Taxes
There is no sales tax in the Bahamas, but taxes may be charged on accommodations.
